Ebay Blog.net Profitable eBay Niches for Making Money Selling Online

Two weeks before official launch of Halo 3, arguably the most anticipated game of the year, is due to go on sale, a pair of apparently legitimate copies were posted for auction on eBay. The seller, an Australian, opened the case and snapped a few shots of the cover (see photos below) and the disc itself to prove the items were for real, but the asking price makes you wonder.

Gamers have routinely been commenting not so much on whether this was right or wrong, but why in the world this person would only try to sell it for AU $149 (US $125). People are seriously itching to push Master Chief, the hero of the series, through the next phase of the epic game, and would probably pay hundreds of bucks to get an early chance.

This is the real thing. I have 2 copies to sell (unopened) Australian copies.
Its not released until the 25th of September so be one of the first in the world to play it!

It's obvious they're the Australian versions, thanks to the whopping big OFLC rating on the front cover (it's an M by the way - doh, no high-level MA15+ violence this time around!)

IGN spoke to Microsoft Australia about the leak and asked whether the company will be tracking the culprits down - to which they responded with an unsurprising "no comment". IGN also queried Microsoft on whether they would ban the Xbox Live account of a user playing Halo 3 before the launch date, to which yet another revelatory "no comment" was given.

It's still unclear how the copies of the games were leaked in the first place, but if anything is certain, there's going to be a lot of PAL Halo fans kicking themselves for not window shopping on eBay more often.
